Thoughtful Safety Features

The QuietHeat15 comes with three specialized safety features to make it one of the all-around best choices available. There's an anti-tip detector that shuts off the heater immediately if it falls over, reducing your risk of fire. There are also two separate overheat protection functions: a thermistor that detects an elevated flow of electrical current and a thermal fuse that cuts the electrical flow if things are overheating. You'll also love that the plastic casing stays cool to the touch to keep curious kids and pets from getting burned.

The included remote control allows you to choose from heat settings between 41 and 95 degrees for complete climate control of your entire room. You can also choose between a high and low setting on the fan to reduce noise and adjust your comfort level. Can this ceramic heater be placed on carpet?

We don't recommend placing the heater on carpet. Carpet is potentially flammable, and thick rug pads don't offer much stability to prevent your heater from tipping over, though if it does, the heater is designed to shut off automatically.

Can this space heater be used in a bathroom?

This is also not recommended, as excess water could cause the heater to spark or experience an electrical short. Also, most bathrooms are small, and this heater should be placed with 1-foot clearances around the sides and back and at least a 3-foot clearance in front.

Does this heater have an automatic shutoff function?

Yes! The adjustable thermostat will shut the heater off when your room reaches the desired temperature, and there's also a timer that will turn off the heat automatically after the running time you select. The heater also has a tip-over detector that automatically shuts off the heat for safety if it has fallen over.
