This is a good alternative to high heating bills, yet delivers heat for small to average size rooms, entry hallways or larger bathrooms. Keep heater away from anything close to the unit to prevent melting of objects. Feet need to be properly placed on unit and there is a click when locked feet are in place.

The NewAir-400 is just what I needed under my desk. Every other heater I tried failed at keeping a constant comfort level. I would get too hot and then have to shut it off.
But not with the NewAir-400, I have been comfy all the time. We even purchased a second for another co-worker.

What a great little heater! I purchased this specifically for a small bathroom I wanted to safely keep warm without heating the whole house in the morning when getting ready for work. I turn it on at night and it works perfectly. Shipping was fast and it was simple to put together.
Some have complained about the feet not fitting making the heater wobbly. I found they need to go on a certain way. The metal brackets on the heater both have a cut corner. The plastic feet both have a stopper piece on each bottom end inside the slot. Hold both pieces up and you'll see. The stopper end is made to match up and fit over the metal bracket with the cut corner. They will fit snug this way and not wobble. I found this out by trying them on a couple different ways to keep the heater steady and it worked-I'm good at solving mysteries too!

they list this has a 40 sf area that it will heat, but im telling you they will heat up to 150 sf area no problem. if you look into what the power usage is these bad boys only use 400 Watts that is noting compared to other heaters in the industry, if you want to have a reality check...turn off as much power in your house as possible...go watch your power meter spin. then while watching the meter have someone turn this hear on..it does not make a difference at all,,,it would take 4 of these to make one Eden pure heater....

I got this heater for the bedroom, I live off-grid with solar power and don't want to deplete my batteries at night and also not use propane for heating as that is so expensive. This little heater does a good job, it does not make the room toasty, but comfortable and it does not depleate the batteries too bad. I keep it on during the evening, but turn it off when I go to sleep. Very happy with the product and also dealing with Air and Water. Super fast shipping and easy transaction.

Was tired of having cold legs and feet at work. This solved the problem without taking away too much leg space.
Cycles off a bit too often, then my feet feel cold again. I have the dial 3/4 of the way and may need to try max. Perhaps the thermostat is too sensitive?

Christine was the utmost courteous and polished professional who knew exactly where the feet or casters (sans wheels) for their brand NewAir desk heater. When I called she informed me immediately that most call reporting them missing but in fact, they are cleverly hidden in space efficient packaging. I wasn't certain with what I was impressed with more, the clever packaging (tis really of all I have seen- as they were hidden underneath and embedded in the styrofoam fit snugly in the box) or Christine's knowledge of the product right to the packaging, helpfulness, and courteousness. It truly is difficult to get high marks in all 3 but she deserves them all. I did not have to wait for an additional shipment nor be directed to call another number where the heater is made, etc.. Time is precious !
The desk heater in itself is an efficient, perfect addition to a 8'.5 x 7.5' area converted into an office. It warms up the area just as well as the 700-800W space heaters but 1/2 wattage and is easy to maneuver. Best of all, I never regret buying it since I previously had the larger one which I would constantly move out of the way.

The fuses in my apt building blow pretty easy. This one has a low enough power draw that it's no problem---keep in mind that this means it's only suitable for really small areas. I use it to warm up the bathtub overnight so I don't freeze in the shower (remove heater before showering obviously).
The only downside is the feet, as others have noted. I didn't trust them. They're just too flimsy and seemed like they would melt. I replaced them first thing with some scrapwood and four T-brackets, after bending the top of the Ts upward in a vise to hold the heater and screwed the long part of the T into the wood.
I ordered the slightly damaged open box version when it was available and the damage was barely noticeable---a real bargain!

Just what I expected! Meets my expectations perfectly. Compared to other space heaters (1000 - 1500 W) it works with 400 W - consumes way less energy. I use it in the bonus room that is above the garage and always a couple degrees colder that all the other rooms. The heater is small, noiseless, heats up fast and warms up the whole room in a couple hours. I placed it in front of the window, so it keeps away the cold from coming in. Now the room is nice and warm when my children come home from school. We love it!

This afforably priced little heater looks like the modern slim-line radiators you encounter in Europe. It is great for small rooms (up to 150 square feet) and tight spaces. Like other oil filled radiators it is slient and less drying than fan forced heaters. Unlike other oil filled radiators it is small, wafer thin, and stylish. Also at 400 watts it is also extremely energy efficient. The thermostat could be a bit more accurate but otherwise the unit is well constructed. I hope to see similar thin radiators for larger spaces in the future. For now two of these will still save you energy $ over most other space heaters.

The heat is direct and radiates around them they were amazed how it keeps them warm. Bonus for me the supervisor, I have a quiet office again since these heaters do not blow out air. The other heaters sounded like a windstorm. Happy employees make better employees.

For the price, don't expect much heat from such a small heater.
It will provide some heat but you'll need to use the Maximum setting and use it in an enclosed space to keep the heat within a closed area.
I use it in the bedroom though it doesn't help much really but I keep it on overnight on medium heat to serve electricity costs. Also, it can be used in the bathroom but you'll need to keep it on for awhile to heat up the room.
Again, given its small size, do Not expect much heat as it's really meant for SMALL, Enclosed spaces.
You can use it on carpets but just be careful. On a daily basis, I unplug it during the day then plug it back into the outlet at night before use.
Remember to remove the plastic that covers the unit after opening from the box but before using.

Bought it on sale and thought it would help heat up a cold apartment esp. in the bedroom.
It doesn't heat well since it's so small and it has No timer to shut off automatically.
Best to use it in an ENCLOSED space so the heat stays 'trapped' in a small area.
It's useless Outside of an Enclosed area like a medium-large sized room (i.e. living room, bedroom, kitchen).
Don't waste your money!
Company said it would send a rebate for a review but haven't received anything as it's been 2 months ago!

Small, portable heating unit at a relative low cost with just on/off switch and degree of heat dial but NO timer.
Probably because it's so small, it can NOT generate Enough heat! It's probably meant to use under a desk to warm up your feet but don't expect it warm up your office, despite what some other reviewers say.
Make sure the plastic feet are securely attached to the bottom so it doesn't move.
Turn the heating dial to the Max setting to get any heat from the unit. Be careful and move it when it's not obviously on as the unit does get hot to the touch.
For a small unit, do NOT expect MUCH Warmth/Heat especially on open spaces or larger rooms as it does NOT generate enough heat!
You can use it in your bedroom overnight at (near) the Max setting but it doesn't provide enough warmth especially if you have a large bedroom.
You can use it on carpets/rugs but still be careful! Unplug the unit during the day as a precaution.
