Ever wonder why Jenn’s skin seems to glow?
The most beautiful woman in the world, Jennifer Aniston, just told People Magazine that the secret to looking so great is her simple routine of….just drinking water…about 115 ounces a day.
“I drink water endlessly. Like 5 bottles a day,” the 46 year old actress told People Magazine, “Now it’s just such habit. There are so many lazy water drinkers!”
The skin is 64% water but there is very little research to back up water as a skin treatment.
Why? Because Pharmaceutical companies don’t sell it.
One study by the Clinics in Dermatology found that drinking 9 cups of water every day for 4 weeks altered the skin density and blood flow.
According to Women’s Health Magazine water plumps up the skin causing wrinkles and pores to get filled in.
Dermatologist Dr. Julius Few says “when skin is hydrated, plump and elastic, it’s less likely to crack and let in external particles that can cause irritations and blemishes.”
Dr. Few goes on to explain, “When skin is hydrated, it looks plumper, and the signs of aging are minimized.”
Also collagen needs water to work properly as well as it is the main ingredient in supporting skin structure.
So let’s all have a drink…right now.
If you have the cash to bathe in Evian then good for you but if not here are some alternatives to looking great….
Bottled water is very expensive and it’s also bad for the environment as only 1 in 5 bottles are sent to the recycling bin.
U.S. landfills are overflowing with 2 million tons of discarded water bottles alone.
Good thing that dermatologist have said any kind of water will do for hydrating.
Tap water is fine to drink if you live near a spring fed pond in a remote area of Maine.
But a lot of us live in this place called Southern California and the list of chemicals in our tap water is a bit alarming:
chlorine, fluorine, arsenic (yeah the poison), mercury, lead, pesticides and hormones.
It sounds like a laundry list for a new Erin Brockovich movie but it’s just the thing we consume the most amount of on a daily basis.
So everyone now has water coolers at the office but how do we up our game at home?
A great way to get that huge filtered water behemoth pitcher out of your fridge is getting a water cooler at home.
If you can’t lift the 300 lb bottle on top and don’t like dealing with the delivery services then check out New Air’s Pure Spring Water Filtration Bottle can filter almost 5 gallons of water at once.
I know I am constantly filling and refilling the damn Brita filter up to 4 times a day so this cooler is a time saver as well as a skin saver.
The water is heated and cooled in a stainless steel tank using an energy-efficient compressor. It dispenses cold water at 39°F and hot water at 185°F.
It’s super easy to load with just regular tap water that will save you money in the long run.
And isn’t that what it’s all about looking great and saving money (in that order).
